XVIII. Guiltless
and Without
Sin.

Throughout the ages the Church has confessed that Christ took upon Himself real human nature from the virgin Mary, not as it was before the fall, but such as it had become by and after the fall. This is clearly stated in Heb. ii. 14, 17 " Forasmuch as the children are partakers of flesh and blood. He also Himself took part of the same. Wherefore in all things it behooved Him to be :
