Actively looking for a position in industry and eager to participate in a large multi-disciplinary research project? In that case the research project named ICIS (Interactive Collaborative Information Systems) is an interesting opportunity. Thales Nederland, TNO, the Delft University of Technology and the University of Amsterdam - all with interests and a recognized background in Information Technology and Human Sciences - have joined forces as founding fathers of the DECIS
TU Delft
Lab in Delft {www.decis.nl), which is a research lab focusing on Intelligent Systems Research.
Technische Universiteit Delft
The DECIS Lab is worliing together with Maastricht University, IMijmegen University, Twente University and 4TEC, in the ICIS project. For this project we are looking for
RESEARCH SCIENTISTS / RESEARCH ENGINEERS for a PhD or Post-doctoral position (4 - 5 years) The ICIS project
Universiteit ^Aaastrltht ,
UNIVERSITEIT VAN AMSTERDAM
For the ICIS project, running from 2004 to the end of 2009, we neeid researchers with different backgrounds. There are four research areas: Collaborative Decision Making, Enhanced Situation Awareness, Computational Human Interaction Modelling and ICIS Architectures. Together, and integrating their results, they will provide the basis for a better set of tools for the engineering of really intelligent systems. Central to all themes is the notion that any Intelligent System is a combination of Actors (human agents] and Agents (software agents], which require the integration of Information Technologies and Human Sciences. Within the boundaries of the research program and because of the partnership with the universities there is ample opportunity for the pursuit of a PhD.
