GENETIC PROJECT LEAD ­ SALADS IMTO ACTION You Will be responsible for leading the definition, design and planning of molecular / trait breeding piojects, within the framework of agreed­upon strategies in salads Managing these projects from initiation to delivery of readily­usable bree­ ding material or trait­specific genetic information and ensuring proper project advancement within allocated resources and timelines will be your mam goals THE CHALLENGE In this environment you will work closely with relevant groups such as genomics, bioinformatics, molecular genetics, ge­ notyping laboratories, physiology pathology, and breeding You will coordinate the execution, report on project progress / achievements and ensure appropriate technical and busi­ ness reviews as well as portfolio consolidation At the same time it will be your role to maintain awareness of new developments and scientific advances through active monitoring of internal and external activity and participate in or lead the acquisition or development of new technologies or methodologies as appropriate Securing intellectual property protection as appropriate and maintaining awareness of intellectual property landscape and evolutions are completing your role YOUR PROFILE For this position we are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated person with a Ph D , or MSc in plant breeding, quan­ titative genetics or related field with 1 to 3 years of experience Knowledge of breeding theory, Mendelian genetics, mo­ lecular markers, and genomics principles is critical A good understanding of principles in statistics, physiology (including pathology), and biochemistn/ will also be important Based in Enkhuizen in the Netherlands, you enjoy working with people and your excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential to function as part of or lead cross­functional, cross­cultural, multi­location teams Demonstrated project leadership and management experience is critical Demonstrated technical or scientific successes in molecular/trait breeding are a plus TAKE YOUR CHANCE Are you interested to fulfill this position in our organization?
