Pour Ie moment, une quinzaine de médecins-missionaires, envoyés par leurs societés respectives, travaillent dans différents champs de missions. L'association a lutté pour de nombreuses réformes sociales, a pris l'initiative des consultations sur les questions matrimoniales et sexuelles et a inauguré la cooperation entre les administrateurs des différentes societés chrétiennes. U eb e r sicht: Die christliche Aerztevereinigung in Danemark besteht seit 54 Jahren. Sie zahlt ungefahr 250 Mitglieder ausser den 150—200 Mitgliedern aus den christlichen Medizinerkreisen mit Abteilungen in Kopenhagen und in Aarhus. Es ist die Aufgabe der Aerztevereinigung 1) den Glauben der einzelnen Mitglieder an Christus zu starken, 2) zu versuchen, den christlichen Einfluss bei den Kollegen und bei Anderen mit denen sie in Kontakt kommen, geitend zu machen, 3) mitzuwirken bei der Entsendung von Aerztemissionaren und sie in ihrer Arbeit zu unterstützen. Zur Zeit arbeiten 15 Aerztemissionare auf verschiedenen Missionsfeldern, ausgesandet von ihren jeweiligen Gemeinden. Die Vereinigung hat für viele soziale Reformen gekampft, hat zur Eheberatung und zur Aufklarung in Sexualfragen die Initiative genommen und die Zusammenarbeit mit den Leitern der verschiedenen christlichen Gemeinden aufgenommen. •

THE CHRISTIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION OF INDIA, PAKISTAN, BURMA 8 CEYLON HISTORY. In 1909 as a result of gatherings of missionary physicians in hill stations during the hot season the Medical Missionary Association was formed. After about ten years the Association threw open its doors to all Christian doctors becoming the Christian Medical Association. Another decade later the Association was recognized as the Medical Committee of the National Christian Council with its Secretary the Medical Secretary of the Council ^). At about that time a full time paid Secretary was installed and in 1946 a full time Nursing Secretary. In 1938 a full time Health Secretary was appointed but unfortunately before she could take office she passed away. MEMBERSHIP. The Christian Medical Association of India, P a kistan, Burma Ceylon has a membership at present of about 650 doctors with an equal enrolment of Nurses in its Nurses Auxiliary. Full membership in the Medical Association is open to any Christian doctor qualified in Modern Medicine. Within the last year student membership has been made available to Medical Students in their fourth and fifth years. While the majority of members are engaged in work in Christian hospitals, some are engaged in Government service and private practice. The majority of members are resident in India and a majority are nationals. Because of difficulties of exchange and transport the membership residing in West Pakistan in 1950 organised a Christian Medical Association of West Pakistan affiliated with the parent organisation. ^)

Altho the Association bears this relationship to the N.C.C. its outreach is not limited to the bodies affiliated to that body. Its membership includes individuals from practically all the church groups which have medical work.
