87 expansive force, and rapidly grew into a society with 200 members, out of a little feeble clique of Christian physicians. The leading central figure during the first 13 years was Einar Lundby. During the two last years the head Dr. Harald Fr0shaug has been chairman. The Christian Medical Association in Norway is greatly indebted to Denmark, Finland and Sweden. It has received rich impulses, positive direct support, and much sincere friendship from the other Northern countries. Through the common periodical and the Scandinavian meetings, solidarity has been developed, and this will be among the finest memories in the history of the Christian Medical Association. We regard it as a principal task to emphasize the development and protection of the personal Christian life of the members individually. Christian fellowship on the foundation of Christian unity is the aim of the Christian Medical Association in Norway. It does not attempt to become a large professional union in the medical world, with comprehensive programmes. On the other hand, it does not intend to hide its light under a bushel. It will endeavour, with its name and its fellowship, to stand in the midst of the medical world, as a calling and an invitation to all colleagues. It will also be a witness to friendship and union on the foundation of a love which, through the medium of the medical mission, tries to go to the world's end. On account of the great distances in our country it has been necessary to divide the association into small local groups. But once a year students and physicians from all over the country assemble at Lovisenberg, the House of Deaconesses at Oslo. At these meetings we have often had the pleasure of seeing Scandinavian guests in our midst. If, in the future, we should live to see colleagues from other countries in the world at these meetings, we extend a most hearty welcome. And we are looking forward to a world meeting of physicians who have a common Centre: Jesus Christ. Dr GORDON JOHNSEN, Oslo. Résumé: Les médecins Chretiens en Norvège se sont réunis depuis 1880, en comraencant par de petits groupes qui travaillaient pour un médecin missionaire. Environs 1910 nous trouvons una période tres active, mais la première querre mondiale I'a détruite. Aprés la guerre s'est développée d'un petit groupe d'étudiants, une organisation de médecins Chretiens qui aujourd'hui compte 200 membres dans tout le pays. De plus, les étudiants forment une groupe d'une centaine de membres. L'association des médecins Chretiens en Norvège est le résultat, non seulement de l'activité parmi les étudiants, mais aussi d'un réveil qui parcourait toute la Norvège pendant quelques années depuis 1930. Le docteur Einar Lundby a été le président pendant 13 ans de 1936 a 1949. Pour le moment le docteur Harald Fr0shaug, Dikemark, Asker, a s'occupé de cette tache.
