CONGRES
OVER
„EVOLUTIE"
The Assembly of the World Council of Churches at New-Delhi declared that „there is urgent need for the development of a theology of nature (as part of an inclusive theology)" within the framework of ecumenical thought, because „many, within and without the Christian Church, are puzzled about the relationships between God, man and nature". For this reason, we thought it expedient to take up this set of questions and to deal with it starting from the aspect of „evolution"." Herv. Kerk te Driebergen): The conversation between scientists and theologians. — Results and experiences of a Dutch study group. 2. Prof. dr. H. Burla (Hoogleraar in de Biologie en Directeur van het Zoölogisch Museum van de Universiteit te Zurich): Basic problems of evolution according to the present situation in biological research. 3. Prof. dr. 4. J. Hübner (Theol. cand.): Reactions to the biological theory of evolution in recent German theology. 5. Prof. dr. W. A. Whitehouse (Hoogleraar in de Theologie aan de Universiteit van Durham, Engeland): Fundamental considerations for a reconstructed „Theology of Nature". 6. Prof. dr. C. A. van Peursen (Hoogleraar in de Wijsbegeerte aan de R.U. te Leiden): Nature as history.
